Speaking at the Annual South Asian Academy for Good Governance (SAAGG) and GULL Award Ceremony held on 24 May 2011, The Hon. Dr Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Minster of National Languages and Social Integration, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka said: ‘I believe that lifelong learning can make a tremendous contribution to our society. Action learning works beyond the limitations and restrictions of the formal education system. Any person - rich or poor - male or female - young or old, whether Sinhalese, Tamil or Muslim - well educated or not, can begin an action learning pathway to improve their life circumstances via the SAAGG-GULL system and attain an internationally recognized qualification: professional bachelor, master or doctor degree.’

Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Education, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka wrote: 'I am delighted that the South Asian Academy for Good Governance (SAAGG) has affiliated with the Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL) and that they will work together throughout Sri Lanka. It is a significant step forward as it is very important that opportunities are provided to youths as well as to adults to obtain professional degrees from a university of this kind with international recognition.'

Mayor, Dr Kithsiri Lanka Caldera, Municipal Council, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka wrote: 'I congratulate you on the affiliation agreement between the South Asian Academy for Good Governance (SAAGG) and the Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL). We shall greatly appreciate the opportunity to enable both young men and women as well as elders to obtain professional degrees at work and in the community. An area like North Central Province, which has less facilities than some areas, will greatly benefit from this relationship.'
